Have You No Sense of Respect or Decency?
Last night at the MTV VMAs two things kinda irked me: 1. Kanye West interrupting Tayor Swift's award acceptance speech and 2. Lil' Mama completely ruining a potentially classic duet between Hova and Alicia Keys.
I would like to go in on Kanye West first. REALLY, homie? Kanye has had some infamous moments (e.g. "George Bush does not care about black people). What he did-- running onto the stage, taking the microphone out of Taylor Swift's hand, and turning a special moment in this artist's young career into a living nightmare-- was one of the most classes and disrespectful acts I have ever seen. It's like if the camera isn't on him or he isn't getting the shine or attention he "deserves," he does or says something that raises more than a few eyebrows. What ever happened to being humble and gracious? I mean, shit, it wasn't even a category for which he was nominated. So little of a man shouldn't be causing such a large ruckus. Definitely not a good look. Go to Super Cuts and have them fix your hideous haircut.
Ok now that I got that out f the way, I would like to go in heavy on Lil' Mama. REALLY? What were you thinking? Seriously explain yourself. Which one doesn't fit? Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Lil' Mama. Exactly. How on God's green earth does something like this happen? Where are the security guards? It's one thing when Kanye West walks onto the stage, but it's another thing when a "teenage rapper" (she looks like she's 40 years old), who has contributed noting to the recording industry but sell all of 13 ringtones, somehow walks onto the stage and stands next to arguably on of the greatest rappers of all-time and one of the greatest R&B/ Soul singers of our time. Definitely not a good look. Get the hell off the stage you no talent assclown.
